SPARK #5: The Joy of Procrastination

What we don't do in a day is often more insightful than what we do accomplish.
In the past 15 days, since becoming a mom, the biggest change is what I consider "a reasonable accomplishment" to be in any given day. Tasks that were once mundane are now great feats. Preparing an appropriate dinner (as opposed to eating out of a box or bag) deserves a medal. Preparing clean clothes for the family and ensuring everyone has time for a bath is newsworthy.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. I wouldn't have it any other way.
But I have noticed that many of my pre-motherhood goals are slipping by the wayside. It's a sort of metamorphasis, I think. Which leads me to this:
SPARK #5: What is something you intended to do today, but didn't? Why not?
And in case you believe this question to be ridiculous, think again. What you didn't do today is very insightful ...

Hmmm, I intended to do a few loads of laundry, but I didn't. I also intended to get some dish soap from the store but did not. I DID cook dinner, weeded the church, played with my kids, swept and tidied the kitchen, and helped my daughter with a project. . .
Oh, I love those bowls! I had a set that my mom bought me for a wedding gift, and just a few months ago my youngest daughter broke the smallest two. Hopefully yours won't meet the same fate!! Ah the joys of motherhood! I intent to sometime find replacements!!
I love those bowls! I actually have a set of them that were passed down from my grandmother... who I remember using them as I was growing up.
These bowls are in my favorites on Etsy, you have great taste. My mom still has the yellow one.
So... what didn't I do yesterday? Post here and write to another prompt on my blog. And that was because I was having a date-night with my hubby. So I think it was a good reason for procrastinating!
